State Nomination Allocations 2026–27

Subclass 190 and 491 nomination program figures by state and territory — sourced from official government program pages. General information only; figures change throughout the program year.

What this page covers

Each Australian state and territory runs its own skilled migration nomination program, with its own annual allocation of places, its own occupation priority lists, and its own invitation process. The figures below are for the 2026–27 program year (1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027).

adds 5 points to your score for , or 15 points for . Each state manages its own invitation process independently from the DHA rounds.

Figures are sourced directly from each state's official government migration program page where accessible. Where a figure could not be independently confirmed, the cell shows “Not independently confirmed” — not an estimate.

Understanding allocation, invitation, and grant

Allocation —
the ceiling number of nominations a state or territory is permitted to make under its program-year agreement with the Australian Government. Reaching the allocation ceiling does not mean all nominees received a visa.
Invitations issued —
the number of nomination invitations (or expressions of interest) the state has actually sent out, up to the date shown. Lower than or equal to the allocation ceiling. Some states report cumulative figures to a specific month; others do not publish this figure publicly.
Grant —
a separate step decided entirely by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), after an applicant receives a state nomination and lodges their visa application with DHA. A nomination is not a grant. Grant volumes for and are not tracked in this table.
ROI —
. The periodic selection event where a state or territory selects which Expression of Interest holders to invite to apply for nomination. In Tasmania, rounds are held weekly on Thursdays for 2026–27.

Allocation and invitation data on this page are sourced directly from each state or territory government's official program page where accessible. Rows where figures could not be confirmed firsthand show a “Not independently confirmed” notice with an explanation and a link to the official program page.
